Distribution: NE Cuba
Description: This is a very unusual Caribbean shrub or small tree with long spreading branches clothed with small leaves resembling some of the Didieriaceae of Madagascar. It makes an extremely distinctive landscape accent. It is related to the famous calabash tree and like that tree is well adapted to South Florida, including coastal conditions.
