Description:
This is known as the chocolate or cacao tree. It is a small tree that produces the pods that contain the seeds used to make chocolate as well as a tangy and sweet white pulp. The fruits are produced on the trunk. It has large attractive leaves. It grows best under light shade or part sun but can also tolerate full sun. It needs supplemental water during dry periods.
